Quinoa looks and prepares like a grain, however it is not a grain, but the seeds from a hardy, tree-like plant that grows well in high altitudes. Peru produces more quinoa than any other country in the world. The ancient Inca's referred to it as "the mother of all grains".

Quinoa provides essential amino acids, dietary fiber, phosphorus, magnesium and iron. It is gluten free and generally easily digested. Its delicate, mild flavor will encourage you to be creative.
